KITE HILL is a string, drum, and winds band from Toronto. It is a band wholly fascinated with the wonder of our world. Songwriter and composer Ryan Carley takes active inspiration from old books, wildlife, and the rural landscape where he grew up. Sonic inspiration is processed much more passively. Songs, tunes, themes, drum lines, voices of friends and family come together as a great and beautiful blended noise that continually washes over the writing of new works. Collaborators and composers Mika Posen, Steve Lappano, and Anissa Hart bring further artifacts and creations to the table, causing songs to tilt and sway, revealing surprising movements and patterns. As such, Kite Hill wanders in and out of diverse musical territory, drawing lines through the borders of baroque pop, instrumental, and world music. The band has nearly completed work on their debut album and hope to see it out in the world by early next year.

THE YOUNGEST is the solo project of Amy Learmonth, who in the past has been a part of experimental pop bands Fox the Boombox and Librarian’s Touch. She has also contributed he singing talents to recordings by MSTRKRFT and Final Fantasy. On her own, this Toronto songwriter explores the traditions of folk and country music, creating works that are both fragile and wild, sad and uplifting. This comfortable tension can be heard on a self-released demonstration album entitled “Early Recordings”, which is still available at her concerts or by mail. The Youngest is currently busy playing shows and recording a new record featuring Alex Edkins, Hayden Menzies, and a hand-full more dear musician-friends. They kindly ask us to stay tuned, and to "stay young at heart but never be afraid to grow-up."

LES ARBRES is the minimalist solo guitar and voice project by Tim Fagan. Primarily a collaborator in the past, Tim has been a leading creative spirit in a great number of diverse bands, including We’re Marching On, LICE, Charlie Brown, Germans, The Nuts, Of January May, TEAM, The Gospelettes, Bahai Cassette, The Bits, and Joi De Vie. Les Arbres marks a decidedly different turn for this Toronto-based artist, who will put his trust in the singing voice and the ringing guitar, two legs with which to to stand tall.
