Sunday August 23rd • Music for Bats, Flying Squirrels and Other Brave Park Mammals
The last stop on this inaugural Inroads Festival tour features a day of events at the top of Bruce County, amid the beautiful landscape and wondrous flora and fauna of the Bruce Peninsula National Park. From Noon until 2 PM at the Visitor's Centre, Inroads Festival artists join other park visitors and members of the Northern Bruce Peninsula community to compose an original song based around the theme of Brave Park Mammals! This could include a fearless Flying Squirrel, or another wonderful winged creature such as Bat; or it may be a young black bear who climbs her first tree, or even the brave person of any age who stands and sings and makes brave new friends in the process! So bring your instruments, your ideas, and your voices and help create something new and special! (This gathering will be followed by a live flying squirrel presentation from 2 until 4 PM that you should not miss!)
At 7:30 PM a concert entitled "Music for Bats, Flying Squirrels and Other Brave Park Mammals will take place in the Cyprus Lake Amphitheatre. This concert will feature music inspired by the landscape and it's animal residents, as well as the premier of an original song written earlier in the day, and performed by the entire Inroads Festival crew and their new friends!
Come one, come all!
