Monday August 17th • Sun Sets, Star Shoots, Sing a Song in Sandy Shoes
Sauble Beach is the second stop on our Inroads Festival tour. It is being presented in conjunction with Friends of Sauble Beach (www.friendsofsaublebeach.org), and proceeds from the show will go toward their many environmental preservation efforts on the Sauble Beach shore. The title of this show is "Sun Sets, Stars Shoot, Sing a Song in Sandy Shoes" and all the activities of the day will explore the coming of night on a sandy shore. There will be a story-sharing and song-writing session from 3-5 PM, with members of the community and festival artists collaborating on the writing of a new song based on the theme of the day. An evening concert will begin promptly at 7:30 PM and will feature sets by the artists and a finale performance of the new song! Both the concert and the song-writing session will take place on the north end of the beach. Look for the gathering of people and instruments, bring a chair or a mat, and enjoy the music!
